God sets everything in place and in motion for His word to be fulfilled. He is not bounded by time and all that had happened in the past, is happening today, or will happen in the future is already a predestined event that the Lord had made. There is always a good purpose for such things to happen and God gave man the gift of prophecy so that he can prepare for any eventuality that comes.

Prophecy of the Light

Prophecy
But there will be no gloom for her that was in anguish. In the former time he brought into contempt the land of Zeb'ulun and the land of Naph'tali, but in the latter time he will make glorious the way of the sea, the land beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations. The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shined. Thou hast multiplied the nation, thou hast increased its joy; they rejoice before thee as with joy at the harvest, as men rejoice when they divide the spoil (Isaiah 9: 1 - 3).

Fulfilled
Now when he heard that John had been arrested, he withdrew into Galilee; and leaving Nazareth he went and dwelt in Caper'na-um by the sea, in the territory of Zeb'ulun and Naph'tali, that what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: "The land of Zeb'ulun and the land of Naph'tali, toward the sea, across the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles -- the people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and for those who sat in the region and shadow of death light has dawned." From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." (Matthew 4: 12 - 17)

Prayer
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple. I believe that I shall see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living! (Psalms 27: 1, 4, 13)

Wait for the LORD;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
yea, wait for the LORD!
Psalms 27:14
